Six Archer Norris attorneys, five in Northern California and one in Southern California, have been named by Super Lawyers magazine among the top attorneys in California for 2011. The selections are conducted by the research team at Super Lawyers®, a Thompson Reuters business. The selection process is a meticulous multi-step rating process and each candidate is evaluated on twelve indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement.  The final published list represents the top 5 percent of lawyers in the state of California.

In Northern California, partners Sharon C. Collier, William H. Staples, Kenneth C. “KC” Ward, Gary A. Watt and Stephen B. Welch were named to the 2010 Super Lawyers list. Sharon C. Collier was selected by Super Lawyers magazine for the second year in a row as a Rising Star.  Those named as Rising Stars are recognized as the top 2.5 percent of attorneys under the age of forty who have been practicing for ten years or less.

Ward, Welch and Staples have been recognized as Super Lawyers for a number of years. KC Ward is a fifth-time nominated Super Lawyer, Stephen Welch is a fourth-time nominee and William Staples celebrates his third consecutive year as a recognized Super Lawyer. Collier is a Rising Star of Super Lawyers for the second year in a row.

For the fifth consecutive year, Los Angeles partner, Robert F. Hinton was recognized on the 2011 Southern California Super Lawyers list. Hinton has also been elected to serve on Super Lawyers’ Blue Ribbon Panel to help evaluate nominees for 2012 Southern California Super Lawyers.
