WALNUT CREEK, CALIF., APRIL 4, 2007 – Archer Norris, a leading California law firm with a focus on complex litigation and business transactions, adds litigation attorney Joseph V. Macha as of counsel to the firm’s litigation practice. Macha is based in Archer Norris’s Los Angeles office.

Macha joins Archer Norris from Youngerman & McNutt in Los Angeles, where his practice focused on complex matters involving product liability, toxic tort and environmental claims, personal injury, professional liability, commercial trucking, toxic tort and business litigation. Macha also has substantial experience in drug and medical devices and healthcare. A Board Certified Trial Specialist, he is one of only 107 lawyers in California and one of less than 2,000 in the United States to hold such a certification. In recognition of his experience and expertise, Mr. Macha was recently elected a Prime Member in the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys.

Macha received his J.D. from Western State University in 1994; he holds a BA in political science with a minor in biology from Loyola Marymount University and a BS in chemistry from Santa Clara University. Macha is a member of the Defense Research Institute’s Trial Tactics, Product Liability, and Drug and Medical Device Committees as well as the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel. He also belongs to the committees on Environmental Law and Litigation Practice of the Federalist Society in addition to the Litigation Section of the California State Bar. Macha serves as Judge Pro Tem for the Los Angeles Superior Courts and has spent years acting as an arbitrator in Los Angeles County.
