WALNUT CREEK, CALIF., November 26, 2007 – Archer Norris, a leading California law firm with a focus on complex litigation and business transactions, adds two litigation attorneys, Jeffrey S. Pollak and Trajan Perez, as of counsel to the firm’s litigation practice. Pollak focuses on insurance coverage matters and professional liability defense litigation and is initiating a practice as a mediator, arbitrator and insurance claims expert witness. He is based in the Archer Norris Los Angeles office. Perez concentrates his practice on products liability, environmental and commercial defense as well as medical device and pharmaceutical litigation. He divides his time between the firm’s Los Angeles and Newport Beach offices.

Jeff Pollak joined Archer Norris after more than five years as a Specialty Claim Supervisor for Chubb. Pollak was previously a partner with two law firms in Orange County and Los Angeles. He brings a unique perspective to his practice, resulting from a thirty year career almost evenly split between private law practice and employment within insurance company claims departments. Pollak’s insurance coverage practice emphasizes specialty lines policies, general liability and fidelity/crime policies and bonds as well as reinsurance disputes, while his professional liability defense practice focuses on lawyers and other non-medical professionals. Pollak is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo, and of Southwestern University School of Law. He is an experienced speaker and a published author, and a member of the State Bar of California.
Trajan Perez is a litigation attorney with a wide range of experience, primarily focused on products liability, environmental and commercial defense. He serves as counsel for corporate defendants in federal and state courts throughout California. Perez also has extensive experience in litigation management as well as medical device and pharmaceutical litigation. He is involved with the firm’s diversity initiatives and serves on several diversity legal committees, including the New York State Bar Association Committee on Minorities in the Profession. Perez received his Juris Doctor in 2000 from Syracuse University College of Law. He holds a Master of Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Syracuse University (2000) and received his B.A. from Angelo State University in 1991. Perez is admitted to practice in New York, the District of Columbia and California.
